About Me

My name is Cynthia Raya, I'm a secondary English teacher at a Texas public high school. 

I earned my bachelor's in English at the University of Texas at Austin, Hook 'Em Horns!! \m/

I'm married and have an adorable 1 year old dog named Amayo

and a 14 year old cat named Pikachu.

As a person, the title of this blog couldn't be any more accurate, I've never had the capacity or want to dream immensely big. My dreams always stayed close to home, in essence I strive to be a good and loving wife, to live up to my personal morality compass, and to leave behind me more good than evil.

As an educator, I hope to help my students find their voice utilizing a capacity for language that is largely foreign to them. I also hope to ignite and nurture a love for reading and an appreciation for literature; and as a bonus I want to be a role model for my young and underprivileged Hispanic students.
